Glass Hood case

Smaller glazed vitrines, mounted to plinths tables or walls. Best suited for a close up inspection of specific objects. Opening options include:

Lift off – minimal powder coated extrusion around the base. The simplest opening, suited to showcases below 20kg which can be safely lifted by one person or 40kg if there is sufficient clearance to either side.

Hinged showcase with gas strut assist – larger glazed hoods not suitable for manually lifting. Hinged from the rear or top of solid back, gas struts assist in lifting and support showcase when open.

Actuator – hand or electric drive vertically lifts showcase providing full access. 

Glazing

Available in 11.5 or 9.5mm Regular low Iron or low Iron low Reflective laminated Glass. Also available in 10mm clear Acrylic.

Plinth

Numerous internal or external plinth options are available.

Lighting

Typically these showcases are illuminated externally, but post or stalk lights are also a effective solution.

Preservation

Silica gel cassettes can be located within a purpose-built reservoir below the showcase or concealed within a internal plinth.
