Services

As sustainability become more and more everyones responsibility, we realise that refurbishing existing display cases is going to become increasingly common.

With our mutidisciplined approach to everything we do, it means that we are the leaders in breathing new life into your existing cases. This might be for a number of reasons, including, budget, historical significance of the cases, or a responsibility to sustainability.

Within our core team we have the skills and experiance to do this and have many examples of previous projects where this has been a great success.

We can survey and create a report stating the work required and can get old cases up to current museum conservation standards. This usually involves the following.

·        Refreshing exterior finishes – metal or timber

·        Sealing all gaps & leaks.

·        Fitting new seals

·        Sealing all off-gassing materials

·        Improving security and locks

·        Changing lighting

·        Changing dress panels

·        Introducing new humidity controls

Examples of this shown are; Lords Cricket Ground. Working with Workhaus Projects & Blue, the Design Company, we re-clad some existing cases and fitted new lights, seals, dress panels. Completely transforming the gallery from a drab and dated space to a beautifully rich art deco gallery.
